Above All Safety is a health and safety consultancy specialising in work at height and construction safety based in Staffordshire & covering the whole of the UK.

A Message from Our Founders

At Above All Safety, we believe that health and safety is more than a box-ticking exercise — it’s about protecting people, empowering teams, and building a culture where everyone goes home safe.

Between us, we bring over 30 years of experience in scaffolding and construction, from hands-on work on the tools through to managing large-scale projects and running successful businesses. This means we don’t just understand health and safety from a theoretical standpoint — we know the real challenges faced on-site, and how to deliver practical solutions that genuinely work.

Our approach is built on engagement, participation, and collaboration. We know that lasting improvements in safety culture only happen when everyone is involved, from operatives on the ground to directors in the boardroom. By combining technical knowledge with lived experience, we provide consultancy that is both relatable and effective.
At Above All Safety, our promise is simple: your safety, our priority.

About Our Director

Aynsley Turner

Aynsley Turner, founder and director of Above All: Safety, brings a wealth of first-hand experience from over 10 years in the construction industry. Starting out in scaffolding, he worked his way from labourer to qualified scaffolder and team leader, giving him not only a deep understanding of working at height but also a broad appreciation of construction as a whole.

Building on this practical foundation, Aynsley has completed his IOSH Managing Safely qualification and is currently working towards his NEBOSH Construction Certificate, with the long-term goal of becoming a Chartered Member of IOSH. His ongoing professional development reflects his passion for learning and his commitment to raising standards of safety across the industry.

What sets Aynsley apart is his ethos: safety isn’t just about compliance—it’s about people. He believes true culture change comes from engagement and participation at every level, empowering workers on the ground as much as those in management. By encouraging involvement and shared responsibility, Aynsley drives genuine improvements in health and safety culture that make sites safer, teams stronger, and businesses more resilient.

About Our Co-Founder

Matthew Collinson

With over 20 years of experience in the scaffolding industry and the wider construction sector, Matthew Collinson brings a wealth of knowledge and business insight to Above All: Safety. His career has spanned every aspect of scaffolding and construction—from starting out labouring, through to running multi-million-pound projects for a large national company, and successfully managing his own business, now thriving into its tenth year of trading.

Matthew holds scaffolding qualifications up to NVQ Level 3 and has previously achieved formal Site Supervision and Site Management qualifications. This blend of hands-on trade expertise and senior project leadership gives him a unique perspective on both the operational and strategic challenges faced by businesses in construction.
